SCOBA ’07 Stands With Engr. Kinsley Onyeka Obi In Honoring His Late Mother

In a solemn show of solidarity and love, members of the SCOBA ’07 Family stood side by side with our brother, Engr. Kinsley Onyeka Obi, as he laid his beloved mother, Late Mrs. Nkechi Flora Obinwa, to rest.

Fondly remembered as “Quality Madam” and “Iron Lady,” Late Mrs. Obinwa passed on after a brief illness on 3rd May 2025, at the age of 62. Her life was a testament to strength, resilience, and grace, qualities reflected in her children and the legacy she leaves behind.

The burial events took place at Oba Village, Uke in Idemili North L.G.A of Anambra State, with funeral arrangements spread across three days:

Burial Programme:

  • Thursday 10th July 2025 – Christian Wake Keep at her husband’s compound

  • Friday 11th July 2025 – Body left Immaculate Heart Hospital, Nkpor at 7:45 AM

    • Brief stopover at her father’s compound in Nsukwu Abatete

    • Lying-in-state and Burial Mass at 10:00 AM at Late Mr. Michael Mboyi Obinwa’s residence

    • Condolence visit followed

  • Sunday 13th July 2025 – Outing service at St. Joseph Outstation, Oba Village Uke

In representation of the entire SCOBA ’07 family, the President, Mr. Muokee Michael, attended the burial in person, accompanied by five dedicated members who came to console and support our brother during this emotional time.

Prior to the event, our PRO issued an official invitation encouraging members to attend and stand with our brother as we celebrated a life well lived and offered prayers for comfort and strength.

The widow, family, and friends deeply appreciated the presence and support shown by SCOBA ’07 members, a clear reminder that our bond as brothers goes beyond the classroom and continues through every season of life.

We continue to pray that the soul of Late Mrs. Nkechi Flora Obinwa rests peacefully in the Lord, and we extend our heartfelt condolences to the entire Obi family.
