The meeting, which began at 2:00 PM with an opening prayer led by Mr. Ezulike Christian, brought together the leadership team to review progress so far and set new targets for the months ahead.

In his opening remarks, the President, Mr. Muokee Michael, expressed appreciation to all executives present and noted that the association’s progress so far could be measured at 50% of set goals. He highlighted notable achievements, including:

  • The successful launch of the Onitsha Branch

  • Resolution of banking issues

  • Completion of the donation to Late Tender’s wife

  • Procurement of the new official SCOBA ’07 cap

The President emphasized that the purpose of the meeting was to review achievements, identify areas for improvement, and strengthen strategies for future growth.

Key Resolutions from the Meeting

1. Opening of New Bank Accounts
Executives resolved to open three new accounts with a reputable new-generation bank for better financial management:

  • Main account for the association’s general operations

  • Business account for investment activities

  • Welfare account for member support initiatives

2. CAC Registration
In a move to strengthen SCOBA ’07’s structure, the executives agreed to commence the process of registering the association with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC). This registration will enhance credibility, ease financial transactions, and support upcoming projects.

3. Constitution Review
The Constitution Review Committee, led by Mr. Dike, presented compiled inputs from members. A major focus was on adjusting the amounts presented in envelopes for weddings, burials, and support to families of deceased members. A poll will be conducted for members to vote on the proposal. It was agreed that any increase in these amounts will result in an automatic increase in yearly dues.

4. Social Media and Investments
The President confirmed that the official website, https://scoba2007.com/, has been active since the inauguration. Work will now shift to activating the official TikTok and YouTube accounts.
Plans are also in place to invest association funds in a business venture that will yield at least 40% Return on Investment (ROI) or place part of the funds in treasury bills. For now, social accounts will be managed by Mr. Muokee, Mr. Dike, and Mr. Frank.

5. Official SCOBA ’07 Cap
The new official cap will be presented to the general house next week. Each cap costs ₦7,000 and will only be given to members who are up-to-date with dues. Members who misplace their caps will pay ₦10,000 for a replacement.

6. Business Promotion
Members who are financially up-to-date are encouraged to submit their business details to Mr. Frank for inclusion in the Excel Tracker. Starting next year, these businesses will be promoted on the association’s website and social media pages. To be accepted, businesses must be vetted, have a verifiable address, and be referred by another member to ensure credibility.

7. Welfare
The Welfare Committee will officially commence operations in 2026 after a thorough vetting and profiling of all members. Support will be extended only to active members who are up-to-date with dues. Welfare assistance may include grants, jobs, scholarships, hospital bill support, food items, and other forms of aid.

Call for Dues Clearance

Executives urged all members to clear outstanding dues to enable smooth operations. Members are encouraged to make payments in installments of ₦5,000 or ₦10,000 weekly or monthly to ease the burden. Once the constitution is amended, members who have events but have not cleared their dues at least three months before the event will be fined.

In closing, the President reaffirmed the executives commitment to accountability, growth, and unity, stating:

“Alone we are just drops, but together we are an ocean – strong, unshakable, and united in brotherhood.”

Floreat! In Aeternum
