In a touching show of brotherhood, love, and remembrance, members of SCOBA ’07 Lagos Branch visited the wife and son of our late brother, Obiekezie Ifeanyi (Tender), on behalf of the entire SCOBA ’07 family. The visit, which took place in July 2025, marked the official presentation of the donations and gifts contributed by members across all branches.
Representing SCOBA ’07 were Makuachukwu Obimma (Oremo), Okafor Eloka (Hawkins), and Obinna Maduabum (Nacent). They were warmly received by Tender’s wife and their four-year-old son, both of whom were in good health and spirits.
As part of the visit, the delegation presented the family with:
-
A 50kg bag of rice
-
5 litres of cooking oil
-
A cheque of ₦1,165,000
These items, combined with earlier contributions, totaled ₦1,265,000, all freely donated by members of the SCOBA ’07 family to support the welfare of Tender’s wife and child.
According to the delegation’s report, the visit was not only successful but emotionally uplifting. Tender’s wife, who is engaged in small-scale baking and yogurt production, served them refreshments and expressed deep joy and appreciation. The team also shared a lighthearted moment singing a birthday song to her in advance of her upcoming birthday this month.
In her heartfelt thank-you message and voice note, Tender’s wife said:
“From the beginning of this journey with Tender during our wedding to this very moment, you have shown nothing but true love and brotherhood. You all are a true definition of family… Today, I feel loved, and today, I feel blessed. You have all reminded me that I and Ugonnaya can never truly be alone, no matter the distance or the circumstances…”
Her voice note attached.
She concluded her message with a prayer of blessings for all SCOBA ’07 members and gratitude for standing by her and honoring her husband’s memory in such a profound way.
This visit stands as a reminder of what SCOBA ’07 truly represents – a family beyond blood, united by shared experiences, compassion, and commitment to one another’s welfare.
“Tender was one of us, and so is his family — as long as SCOBA ’07 exists.”
We thank all members who contributed in one way or another, especially our Lagos and UK branches, and all individuals who showed love and kindness during this call for support.
Attached below are pictures and videos from the visit.
Let this be a lasting symbol of the strength of our bond.
